Jim Robinson Day - defined!

For those who have heard the term "Jim Robinson Day" mentioned on those days with not-so-pleasant weather.......herein for your edification is the "official" definition as versed some years ago by Linc Mott, WB2KZI

As the outside temperature starts dropping,
Dark clouds curtain blue skies above.
Cool rain shall soon be falling
Drenching our world that we love.

Enjoying the comfort from a sheltered view,
As the stage becomes carefully set.
Within a period, too short to time,
Our great world shall soon be wet.

The mischievous gusts of dampened air,
Flirts with leaves and twigs alike.
Vacating their chosen resting place,
Performing antics of a misbehaved kite.

A cozy spot by the window,
Yes! Front seating for the show.
More dark the sky and world becomes
In concert with the increasing blow.

Ah! The show is on, in splendor,
How amusing the sway of trees
Being assailed by near ice raindrops
Pinning to earth the wandering leaves

Pools soon make their debut
From the raindrops that compound.
The earth, now like a shallow brook
As the aqua hides the ground.

A chill-like feeling of comfort
Allows my view to command.
Knowing I'm the privileged audience,
And the elements have the stand

The rooftop halts those traveling beads
In their haste to reach the ground.
As the noise from thousands of droplets
Unite in a deafening sound.

Everyone shan't enjoy such weather,
Yet there's many of us that may.
When Mother Nature directs her chosen cast
And calls it a "Jim Robinson Day"
